1| Let. It. Go.
2| Yes, I can.
3| The time is now.
4| Inhale love, exhale hate.
5| I am enough. I have enough. There is enough.
6| Quiet. Focus. Trust.
7| Breathe in peace, breathe out love.
8| Be true. Be kind. Be present. Breathe.
1| Let. It. Go.
Anyone can do this – even if you live in an apartment with a balcony/patio! The National Wildlife Federation outlines easy guidelines to do this. Why? Because if enough people do this and pay attention, we will be able to make a positive impact on the ongoing negative assault on our wildlife, pollinators, and much more.
All you need to do is a few simple things like providing food, water, shelter (see list on the NWF website) and then fill out a form. You can then proudly display the sign. Better yet – get a few of your neighbors to do the same!
Who am I?
Why am I here?
What is my purpose
Get rid of my fear
Where am I going
How far will I go
Across the universe
I just do not know
Which way do I turn
When I cannot see?
What’s in front of me
is it who I should be?
How do I know?
Right here and right now
What path I should take
Which way I don’t know
What came before me
I must leave behind
Step into the darkness
What will I find
To let go of shackles
Of a life I once knew
Set out on a journey
Become I don’t know who
I see you, I touch you and am reassured.
Regal and powerful, I am magical.
Can you ease my pain?
I am yours at this moment, please make my world ok.
Hungry heart, I am unsure.
Don’t cross me, I forget then remember.
Where are you? I am not ok. Leave me alone.
I am thinking. I am not sure about this place, this world.
I am tired but see you and I am ok again.
I look in your eyes, feel your touch and hear your soft voice in my ear.
All is ok.
I can sleep now.
I am fearless. Running, running across the field.
Flying, flying, I am sure I can fly.
I am free, I meet the wind.
I am free. Can you see me?
I am free. I am sure. I am free.
I remember now. I remember you.
I remember love.
This is a simple dish, brown lentils, caramelized onions, brown rice with a little cumin and salt. I ended up putting a spoonful of Tzatziki on top. As I recover from a terrible sickness, this is my 1st homemade healing meal. You can find the recipe on Kayln’s Kitchen. I used long grain brown rice instead of white rice to make it healthier.
It was one year ago today that you left us. I can’t believe this much time has passed already. You were a wonderful loving dog who taught us SO much, saw us through some dark times, and showed us what unconditional love looks like.
A few months ago, we met Watson. I think you may know this, because I am pretty sure you sent him to us. He needed a family and we needed him. Words cannot describe how amazing he is. Of course, he can never replace you – but I am pretty sure you knew what you were doing when you chose him. We met many other dogs – but when we saw Watson, we knew he was going to adopt us. Both you and Watson show us the healing power of love – and I am so grateful to have you both in my life.
I miss you my friend.
I love beets. I love oranges. I really love Feta. This salad seemed to be an obvious choice! In my version, I roasted the beets with rosemary, sea salt, pepper, and olive oil. I also added a tiny bit of Shallots to the dressing, and used Pino Grigio vinegar.
