My professional life has been a bit rocky lately and was really starting to let it get the best of me. I fell off the consistent exercise wagon, I have not been the fun mom I usually am, and I have isolated myself from most social activities. BAD Susan. I am old enough to understand... My most un-favorite things (updated from previous list)
I was reviewing past blog posts and came upon this list from 2008 of my most un-favorite things (part one). I guess this is part two. Being inspired by this post from Jen on the Edge, I decided to update the list to reflect my current sentiment. Items in green are 2010 additions. More than... Continue Reading →
Can’t sleep? Don’t try Lunesta.
It will swell your tongue, make you do things in the middle of the night that you will never remember, and make you commit suicide. But you can still get a free 7-day trial online. Beautiful day but feeling mighty tired
It was an absolutely amazing day today. A picture perfect sky, the air was fresh and cool with a soft warm breeze. It even smells great. I am feeling absolutely exhausted. Mentally, emotionally, physically - all of the above. I just need to be honest. So there you have it. I am working very hard... Continue Reading →
traffic sucks
The Washington, DC metropolitan area ranks #2 in the US for traffic congestion. This fact was confirmed this morning when it took me 2 hours to drive 17 miles. At least we are recognized for something other than politics. Currently I am working very hard to maintain a positive mental attitude.
My Inner Struggle
My inner struggle is best summarized by this quotation: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are... Continue Reading →
