Dear Mom –
Today would have been your 71st birthday. It is a beautiful morning with the sun coming up through the trees and the birds are singing in my back yard. You would have liked it here.
I bet you would have been a cute and ecclectic older lady. Still with style and grace, and an edgy sort of humor that catches people off guard. More than anything I bet you would still be as compassionate and sweet as ever – and I sure do miss that. I will tell my children stories about you today – and we will celebrate your life and all that you had to offer. After all -it is the gifts you gave me that I will pass on to my children. Today we honor you.
I miss you.
Love Susan
