It is absolutely beautiful outside today – and I am proud to report that I began my training today for the Out of the Darkness 20 mile walk this June. Thanks to my friend Lisa who called me and inspired me to get out of the house and just start. We walked for 1 hour and 20 minutes. I estimate that we walked a little more than 4 miles…
About 1/2 way through I started with my usual massive foot pain in the balls of my feet (same issue I had last time I trained for the 60 miler). My toes start to feel like they are breaking at about mile 3. I stopped and stretched and kept walking, despite the pain. I will have to go back to the the podiatrist for assistance.
We are off to a great start and I am feeling great about it!
