Moving into this next chapter of my life will mean many things. The most important of which is that I need to get off the sidelines and become a more active participant in my own life. Playing it safe and going for the comfortable just isn’t working for me anymore. It’s time to take some risks, and that leap of faith to try a new approach to how I work, what I focus on and how I spend my time.

After all, isn’t it more of  a risk NOT to try?

Brilliant summer tomato from my garden

I am old enough to understand that I cannot be brilliant all the time – but being in this position is not fun and I certainly don’t like it. After a particularly bad day  week month quarter year at work, a friend sent me an email that said “sometimes you have to let things just suck. Sometimes you just have to go through it.”

She was right. The minute I stopped fighting it I started releasing the anger and frustration and just let it go, I was liberated.

I am thankful for the wisdom of friends, and for knowing such inspiring people.
