I am grateful for being in SUCH a great mood today and feeling very strong! It is because of the FANTASTIC and powerful workout I had this morning with Jen. She is awesome and patient and great to work with. I love her approach and am VERY eager to continue working with her!
Of course now I came home and got stressed about money and things I need to fix on my house.
uggghhh!

Yesterday was a bad health day. I munched on everything in site, and had no interest in anything healthy or fresh. And I didn’t even exercise!
I meant to get up early this morning for a workout, but that didn’t happen either. Do or die, I will work out when I get home this afternoon.
Wish me luck.

Excellent workout this morning – pushed myself really hard!
I feel really good, a bit sore – but at least I am feeling the benefits! I was SO hungry this morning so I went to Open City and had an egg white veggie omelet with fruit on the side and an espresso.

Work, Housework, Cooking, Laundry, Homework, School and kids meltdowns, Financial issues, Threats of terrorism, House fixes, Car fixes – geez.
Let’s focus on what is really important:
I worked out again this evening – 35 minutes of the FIRM super sculpt with heavy weights – and 32 minutes of intense uphill treadmill. I am tired and now I will sleep!

about my workout yesterday. I woke up at 4am, walked the dog and left for the office at 4:30 (YES I AM INSANE). I began my workout at 5am:
10 minutes walk/run on treadmill
2 sets each for one minute (4 minutes total time): Bench Press,
Walking Lunges w/weights
4 minutes walk/run on treadmill
2 sets each for one minute (4 minutes total time): Tricep Dips (off the bench), Dead
Lifts
4 minutes walk/run on treadmill
2 sets each for one minute (4 minutes total time): Bent over row, side
leg extensions
10 minutes walk/run on treadmill
5 minute cooldown/stretch
This is the first time I have done this workout in a while and it was challenging for me. After a few more sessions, it should be easier for me to up the running pace in between weight sets.

Today I am grateful that there are ALWAYS things to look forward to. Here is my current list:
1. Autumn. I love the cool weather, the vibrant colors, pumpkins, apple cider, blue jeans, sweaters, halloween. It is my favorite time of year and I fall in love with Virginia each year at this time.
2. Eragon movie in December. It is sure to be a blockbuster. I love the book and it looks like the movie will be really amazing – a special treat for the Christmas Season!
3. San Francisco in November. I am going for 1 week for work. I plan to re-aquaint myself with the city, then spend one day in Sonoma afterwards. I cannot wait!
4. My early morning workouts. Loud inspiring music, pushing myself as much as I can, sweat in my eyes – I really look forward to these!
5. The Hobbit. Rumour has it that New Line cinema and Mirimax finally settled their differences and The Hobbit will go in to production in New Zealand.
6. Prophecy 2007. The Harry Potter Educational conference – in Toronto. I promised Cami that we would go. I am going to register soon (as soon as I have the $$$) and book the hotel room. Very exciting! I most look forward to wizards chess and water quidditch!
7. The release of the 7th Harry Potter book next year, which, undoubtedly, will become a major event here in DC. I have already been talking to a local bookstore about having a major release party, with costumes, entertainment, and everything!
8. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Movie. Due out July 13th of next year – another movie to look forward to.
9. Writing a real business plan for our bookstore/coffeehouse. Chris and I are actually working on this!
10. Thanksgiving. Brandon and Jonathan should be visiting – we will have a great time spending time together and being thankful for family.
11. Spring Break. I will try to take the kids to Nova Scotia, and combine it with a trip to Portland Maine to start investigating places to move.
12. The Golden Compass movie next year. Based on Phillip Pullmans book, this will be another great movie to look forward to!

and the rain was relentless.
The sky was dark and the rain was pounding on the pavement. Not very motivating for the little ones. I tried to make a family breakfast but everyone was to nervous to eat. Oh well, I am just trying to be a good Mom. This afternoon, the kids came home and were both finally able to exhale.
I came home and managed a 45 minute FIRM workout, plus 25 minutes on the treadmill at 2.0 incline at 3.7 mph. Not bad for an out-of-shape, older and larger woman.
I just ate turkey/spinach/feta burgers (with no bread). I made them with fat free feta and lots of raw spinach. They are very good and a great way to end the day!
Until tomorrow!!!

Although I was feeling very exhausted yesterday, I still managed to complete a 53 minute intense cardio FIRM workout. I was definitely low energy – but I forced myself through it. I felt much better afterwards, but this morning I am feeling very tired again. I mixed my vitamin packet into some berry/vegetable juice this morning and drank it down with a b-complex as well. Hopefully all of that will help!
Ernesto will be visiting us today, hopefully we will not see too much flooding…
Other than that HAPPY FRIDAY!
